“After years of CBT and feeling completely "talked out" in therapy, I decided to try hypnotherapy with Lucas. It's hard to put the experience into words, but it felt like a different level of healing. I highly recommend Lucas to anyone who feels stuck in traditional talk therapy and is looking for another pathway to growth and healing.”

You Don't Need a Lifetime of Anxiety Management

We've been taught to think of anxiety as something we have to manage for life.

So we sign up for the subscriptions — the weekly therapy session, daily medication, meditation, exercise, breathing techniques. Another podcast, another book, another technique...

And like any subscription, you keep paying for it — week after week, month after month — simply to keep anxiety at bay.

I'm not interested in keeping you subscribed. I want to help you cancel the subscription.

My approach is to work with the underlying patterns driving your anxiety, rather than simply teaching you more ways to manage the symptoms. The goal is to create meaningful change as efficiently as possible, so you don't have to spend the rest of your life organising your life around anxiety.

Because the ultimate goal isn't to become better at coping with anxiety. It's to become free from it — and get on with living the life you actually want.

95% of your mind is working beneath the surface

Research in psychology suggests that as much as 95% of our thoughts, emotions and behaviours are driven by subconscious, automatic processes.

This is one of the reasons why anxiety can be so difficult to simply think your way out of.

You can understand your anxiety. You can reason with yourself. You can tell yourself that you're safe. You can use all the willpower in the world — yet your subconscious has already created the response before your conscious mind even has a chance to intervene.

That's why trying harder isn't always the answer.

What you need isn't necessarily more thinking, more reasoning, more awareness or more willpower.

You need the right method to work with what's happening beneath the surface.

And that's where hypnotherapy comes in.

By working with the subconscious patterns underlying your anxiety, hypnotherapy can help you create change at the level where these automatic responses are generated — rather than spending your life trying to consciously override them.

“Since seeing Lucas, I can’t even express the change it’s had on my life!! I’ve caught so many flights without even thinking about it. I genuinely could never thank you enough, even if I tried!”

Meet Lucas

I work with people who have already tried to think their way out.

If you understand your anxiety but still can't seem to change it, you're not alone. I've been there myself.

After years of trying to manage my own anxiety, I eventually turned to hypnotherapy and discovered an approach that helped me make the change I'd been looking for.

I trained as a hypnotherapist 14 years ago at The Mind Academy, one of the field's leading schools of modern psychology. Today, I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety, overthinking, panic, social anxiety and other fear-based patterns by helping them access and change their subconscious minds.

Most of my clients are competent, capable people who have simply had enough of anxiety dictating how they live.

If you're ready to stop coping and start living, I'm here to help.

How anxiety actually works

Your brain is not broken. It is sending a false message.

Anxiety is not a flaw in your character, nor is it something you were simply born with. It is a protective response that was switched on for a reason, kept because it once served a purpose, and is now firing in situations that are no longer dangerous.

And that changes what the work is.

There is nothing in you that needs to be repaired. There is simply a protective signal that needs to be updated.

And hypnotherapy gives you a way to do exactly that.

01

It started as protection

At some point, you encountered a threat big enough to trip the alarm. Your system produced anxiety to move you towards safety and protect you from harm. It worked, so your subconscious learned to associate the experience — and anything resembling it — with potential danger. What began as protection quietly became a habit, and it has been running ever since.

02

It runs predictions

Your subconscious uses the past to predict what might happen next. Once a place, feeling, situation, or experience has been associated with danger, your nervous system can raise the alarm in anticipation — automatically, and often before your conscious mind has had a chance to make sense of what is happening.

03

A forecast can be relearned

And this is the good news: if the response was learned, it can be relearned.

That's why hypnotherapy works at the level where these automatic responses are generated — helping the subconscious update old associations and predictions rather than simply trying to reason with them.

You have managed this long enough.
